A pre-opening event for our brand-new SWISS First Lounge A in Terminal A was held on last Friday morning. It was attended by numerous guests, all keen to gain a first impression.
The oak floor is oiled, the designer furniture is in place and the grappa bottles are neatly arranged. Our new SWISS First Lounge A, which is due to open officially on Monday, 5 March, was inaugurated on Friday morning. Guests attending the event accessed the 650 square metre Lounge via a dedicated security point. They were treated to a sumptuous breakfast featuring everything from egg dishes to canapés and desserts galore, providing an insight into the delicious treats on offer in the Lounge.
Appreciative guests and enthusiastic hosts
“The SWISS First Lounge A marks another expansion in our premium offering. Our goal was to create a home from home for our First Class guests and HON Circle Members”, says Thomas Klühr (CEO) in his speech. Markus Binkert (CCO) lists other benefits: “From the dedicated security point to a limousine service, this new SWISS First Lounge A offers so many advantages. Guests may even leave coats and jackets here when flying to warmer destinations where such items won’t be needed!” Our employees are delighted with the Lounge, too: “The warm colours and wood tones mirror the cabin interiors – except that one can so easily forget this is an airport. It’s a superb place for our guests to relax before their flight”, says Flight Attendant Robin Trösch. Tanja Zumstein, Maître de Lounge intern, is also looking forward to welcoming our guests to the new Lounge. “It’s fabulous! The Barista Bar with the trained baristi is definitely going to be popular with our guests.”
A large choice of facilities for our guests
Besides the Barista Bar, the SWISS First Lounge A also boasts an à la carte restaurant, a self-service zone, front cooking and a bar with 150 varieties of grappa and fruit brandies. A selection of whiskies is also available in the smokers’ lounge and outside area. Guests looking for peace and quiet will find numerous niches and corners as well as work spaces and rest areas.
Thanks to its proximity to the departure gates, our guests can enjoy their stay at the SWISS First Lounge to the fullest. And should they have a long-haul flight coming up, our shuttle service will take them to Dock E in no time.
